Gujarat Titans v Chennai Super Kings

This IPL season started with Gujarat and Chennai meeting in Ahmedabad. And it ends with the same. We could also have the same result. Of course Chennai are a crack unit and they deserve huge respect. However, Titans have an advantage on home turf while Chennai are not as adept with the ball away from the Chepauk. At the least we expect Titans to trade 1.5 batting first. But we will also keep a tie on the trade running. It collapses quickly in the chase by half from the 40.0 region.

Trade Titans bat 1st to 1.5

Gujarat Titans v Chennai Super Kings

Ahmedabad has been reliable for runs this tournament and the team batting first really needs to set its stall out for a minimum of 190. The par lines, particularly for Gujarat, look a buy at 188. It may also be worth playing Gujarat for 200 or more once again at around the 2.2 mark. On the powerplays, we’re keen that Gujarat tie down CSK to under 53. But there’s a big caveat. We don’t want Hardik anywhere near the powerplay.

Back under 53.5 CSK first 6 over runs at 2.0
